I married a quality man.
Post #26 in this 30 post challenge is to write about my favorite quality in my husband.
I don’t even know where to start.
Marriage itself is not perfect. Our marriage is certainly far from ‘perfect’. We fight. We have moody, grumpy days. We have hard days and crying days and days that marriage just seems like so. much. work.
But we also have beautiful days. Days when our marriage looks like Christ and the Church. Days when love feels like all we will ever need. Days that are awesome. And a huge blessing.
Whether good days or bad days, I admire so many things about Theo. His loving nature, his patience, his listening skills, his loyalty, his handsomeness, his ability to notice those in need (and immediately serve them), his teachable spirit, and his teaching spirit, his humor.
However, if I have to narrow it down to one favorite quality, it would be (((his integrity)))).
Integrity is choosing your thoughts and actions based on values (morals) rather than personal gain.
Theo is a sinner, and that cannot be denied. But throughout his interactions as a husband, as an EMT, as an uncle, a brother, a son, a friend and tae-kwon-do instructor, he always thinks through decisions and operates on what he believes (and finds, after seeking) to be biblically true.
I truly am blessed to be with this man. I love you, Theo. Thank you, Lord.
